Well, Farva did smething like this and I was pretty sure you guys would appreciate it, so here goes nothing. My biggest New Years Resolution for 2009 and Anchors Away is to be more consistent and on time with my updates. So yea.

Anyways, what to expect for 2009:

-Following Boyde with his new orders to BUDS
-Following Reavis with his new orders to OCS
-A storyline envoking Boyde on possibly the biggest operation in Navy SEAL history…so to speak.
-Boyde and Reavis find themselves together again
-The introduction of a new character that is probably the coolest person on the entire freakin’ planet
-The Anchors Away! collection in print, both color and black and white avaliable sometime this month.
-I’ll hopefully be selling some Anchors Away! sketches, as I’ve taken to sketching lately. Prepare for eBay!
-More merch, as I know it’s hot. Yes, the buttons will be sold too.
-And, a movie called “A year of Anchors Away” which I’m currently exploring making haha. (but the book is better :-P)

So yea, a few good storylines, a book, a movie, merch, original art, pfft. What more do you want America?

Well, first off, since the title caught your attention, I’ll mention the new website theme. I have always loved christmas, it’s the one holiday my father was never deployed during (except once, and somehow he called us. I think…) Anyways, like I said I’ve always loved christmas. So I decided to change the website theme a little just until christmas, and then, maybe something new?

Anyways, we got ‘ze buttons today! And they are amazing! I’m not going to bother putting them in the store yet, but I have 50, and if I run out, I’ll order more… Basically, here’s the deal. If you order a comic print or a custom comic, i’ll throw in one or two. The other way to get them is just to ask me in an email, in which case, I’ll be glad to send you the entire set for a mere $2.00. S+H included in that. Just two bucks!

Oh, and anyone who orders anything from here until Christmas, be it buttons or a print, will get a signed christmas card featuring your favorite characters.

Hey guys, sorry about missing a weeks worth of updates. I feel really shitty. I scheduled the comic updates on Wordpress but I guess it didn’t work like I expected it too. So I’m not sure how to do that exactly, I’ll look into it. I just went on a spontaneous leave for thanksgiving, and it was pretty great.

I’ll post this week’s comics starting monday, so no worries on that. This shouldn’t postpone the book, but we’ll see. It might by a little, we’ll have to see.

Oh, and the great news, I sent in the BUTTONS order today! There are 5 different buttons and hopefully i’ll get them plenty soon.

I also got a really good book in the mail today, “How to make webcomics,” and let me just say I’ve learned a lot. I read almost three quarters of it already (and it’s 195 pages if you count the bibliography…yea, I read that too. I’m one of those people who stays at the end of the movie to watch the credits that the theatre people hate.) Anyways, yea- so hopefully we’ll get some improvements in the comic here, and we’ll see where it takes me.
